2019 was a great year for newborns! Not only did I travel out of the country to mentor with my newborn idol, Dewdrops Photography, but it was a busy year for newborns. Looking back at this collage below, I’m so grateful for all my tiny clients.

Looking at the collage, it’s clear to see my newborn style is minimal and fairly neutral in colours, with a focus on the baby and the posing. I did get quite a few special requests for specific colours, which I’m more than happy to accommodate, if I have it or can order it in time!

I saw quite a few beautiful babies with lots of hair this year! I felt like a little bit of a hairstylist as well as a newborn photographer!

I also saw some of the sweetest siblings around! Big brothers and sisters can be unpredictable, depending on their age, but they are usually pretty excited to get in front of the camera. One of my favourite poses for older siblings, is this one:

I also love incorporating little felted props into my newborn sessions. My favourite shop for felted props is AGK Originals, and I own several different sets of animals and bonnets, including a cat, lamb, puppy, owl, bear and a deer:
